Description

and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)A long-term reconstructed TWSA dataset for China land area (RECTWS-CHN) based on the GRACE-observations. In the RECTWS-CHN dataset, two approaches combined with a spatially moving window structure are used to reconstruct the GRACE-based TWSA observations back to 1950s over China land area respectively. The two approaches are the Random Forest (RF) and the linear regression model (LR). For each approach, a TWSA estimating model was learned from the relationship between GRACE observations and the Catchment land surface model (CLSM) outputs based on the 2003-2014 period. The fitted models were then applied to the CLSM outputs during 1948-2014 to obtain long-term TWSA datasets. The reconstruction models were applied for two GRACE TWSA solutions. They are the latest GRACE TWSA solutions (RL06) obtained by using the Mass Concentration blocks (mascons) techniques, and the data products are developed and released by the Center for Space Research at University of Texas, Austin (CSR), and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)  respectively.
