Abstract

This dataset contains hourly precipitation data from 144 COOP raingagues located in Indiana (NCDC TD3240 dataset). The main purpose of this dataset is to provide for at-site rainfall frequency analysis. Several data processing manners were taken:(1) For nearby stations with non-overlapping observations (including moving station cases), the data were merged. Details can be found in the "DataProcessInfo.xls" file. (2) For any calendar year with record length less than 9-month, the data of that entire year were omitted. (3) For any calender year containing over 3-month erroneous data, the data of that entire year were omitted. (4) After data merging, stations with record length less than 20 years were not included. Eventually, 74 merged rainfall stations passed the above criteria and were provied in this dataset. The data format was inherited from TD3240 setting. More detailed information about the data formats can be found in the "td3240.doc" file.
