This lab assignment was constructed to provide introductory Agronomy students with a knowledge base of farming technology and available agricultural decision-making tools.
Dr. Linda Prokopy provides a review of research on farmer adoption of behavior and provides examples of how the U2U project is using social science to improve decision support tool design, uptake and evaluation.
The U2U team hosted a special session at the ASA-CSSA-SSSA annual meeting focused on the Useful to Usable project. In total there are 8 presentations available in this session.

U2U makes data more accessible to farmers (OCJ)
Ten new publications featuring the U2U project were published in the March 2017 issue of the journal Climate Risk Management. Papers in this U2U-focused issue are open access and highlight new social science analysis on farmers’ and advisors’ perceptions of climate risks, detailed information about our decision tools and project evaluation methods, and more.
