Biography
Rafael Reis is graduated in economic sciences (2007) and he is a master's degree student at the University of Campinas (2023). Rafael also has other training courses, including Advanced Business Analytics at the University of Colorado Boulder/Coursera (2020), Tax management at Unicamp (2019), and Financial Management at Insper (2011).
Rafael is developing the study “Cross-effects evaluation of the policies RenovaBio and ABC+, using SIMPLE-G-Brazil: focused on land use”, as the master's dissertation project. The study is being developed within the project “Endogenous responses in Brazilian and global agriculture to supply and demand shocks and regional impacts of sustainable intensification” led by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) and financed by the Brazilian Institute for Development and Sustainability, (IABS) with funding from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA, UK).
Within the scope of the project, Rafael already attended the discipline of general equilibrium, based on Gempack (Unicamp) and attended the training “PAEG Model Course - Computable General Equilibrium (CGE)”, based on GUNS, at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV).
Also, Rafael has more than sixteen years of experience on controlling, treasury, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). For the last three he has been a finance consult focused on small-medium enterprises, also, he had worked for Multinational organization in different industries, such as Plastic Omnium, Faurecia, and Magnetti Marelli (automotive), Schneider Electric (Energy), Makro (Wholesale), ADP System (Service), Siemens (Telecommunication). His expertise in finance also includes knowledge about the operations of his employers, including purchasing, logistics, production, marketing, and sales for maximum added value.
